Today, the EU Wellbeing Economy coalition is launching its vision for an economic system focused on meeting the fundamental needs and rights of all. Friends of the Earth Europe is a proud member of the coalition and we strongly believe that the European Union should place human and planetary wellbeing at the heart of its decision-making processes. This means structurally moving away from an economic system based on GDP growth.
Next week, over 2000 people will participate in the Beyond Growth conference at the European Parliament. This groundbreaking conference is being hosted by a cross-party group of MEPs and it represents a significant opportunity to move towards a Wellbeing Economy.
