The European Union is engaged in negotiations on a package of climate and energy legislation with a new deadline: 2030. The package covers different issues such as renewables, efficiency and energy poverty, and is known as ‘The Clean Energy Package for All Europeans’.
But, as this briefing explains, the draft package does not go far enough to meet the concerns of Europeans and deliver warm homes, cheaper energy, community power, clean air, or local green
