We need to drastically cut our emissions if we are to avoid catastrophic climate change. This means burning less fossil fuels. All over Europe communities and citizens are already taking control of their energy future and producing community-owned clean, renewable energy.
These community energy projects create lots of added benefits for the communities involved, from reduced fuels bills, to stronger community pride and of course knowing they are part of reducing global emissions.
This brochure contains some examples of those benefits, and looks at three projects in particular. We hope that reading it will inspire you to support this movement and be part of it in any way you can.
