Friends of the Earth England, Wales and Northern Ireland have produced a short video on the Climate Change Act, in conjunction with the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office and the Department of Energy and Climate Change.
The video includes a number of interviews with politicians, business people, and representatives of the Committee on Climate Change, footage from a Friends of the Earth/Stop Climate Chaos rally in Trafalgar Square, along with some information on future implementation plans. It shows the wide political support which rallied around the Act, plus the scale of ambition that the UK is committing itself to.
It is available in English with no sub-titles, or with Polish, French, Spanish, Italian, German or English sub-titles.
Friends of the Earth have been showing the video at seminars the British Embassies have been hosting around Europe over the past few months.
ClientEarth has also produced an independent review of the Climate Change Act which has a very useful summary of key features and would make a good hand out for senior civil servants or interested politicians.
