As energy prices soar, millions across Europe are at risk of energy poverty, a political issue burdening citizens with the choice of heating their homes or having food on the table. It is time to make energy poverty an issue of the past because having access to clean, affordable energy is a human right!
Join us at the Right to Energy Forum for three inspiring days about securing the right to energy for all!
The Forum programme will consist of three mornings packed with talks and discussions to mobilise, engage and share information. The afternoons are organised as satelite events for which there will be sperate registration forms. There will be a policy event and workshop on Monday afternoon, organised by WELLBASED, and an event revolving around our own ‘Powerful Encounters’ photo exhibition on Thursday afternoon, organised by the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC).
The full programme will be announced mid-November but you can already register here for the Forum and the different satellite events. This way you will receive an automatic update as soon as the full details of the programme are ready to be shared.

Why the time is now to join the energy poverty movement
Energy poverty is making headlines due to skyrocketing energy prices – pushing millions of Europeans to choose between eating and heating. But energy poverty is not a new phenomenon. It’s a structural, intersectional issue that’s been created by an unjust system and years of inaction by national and EU leaders.
While the main European institutions are still defining their priorities for the new term, it’s crucial to ensure that energy poverty remains a top priority for the EU Commission as well as the European Parliament. We will also be keeping a close eye on countries across Europe who will be implementing the various legislations that are part of the fit for 55 and European Green Deal and how they will impact people faced with energy poverty.
