GM crops

GM-free farm

Support farmers, GMO-free farming.

We already have the farming techniques to feed ousrselves, help cool the climate and protect the natural world. Genetically-modified (GM) crops are a dangerous distraction – a tool used by biotech corporations to profit from and gain control over our farming system at the expense of nature and food producers.

GMO seeds, animals or lab-products pose unnecessary risks to both humans and nature, and makes it extremely expensive for conventional and organic farmers to avoid contamination. Their cultivation increases pesticide use.

Meanwhile, European demand for soy to feed factory-farmed animals is driving the rapid expansion of GM soy in South America. This causes deforestation and displacement of rural communities.

At the moment, biotech companies which want to grow or sell GM crops in the EU must pass a series of safety checks – and we are campaigning to keep it that way.

We campaign for food and farming free from GMOs, and to get big business out of our fields and off our plates.

We push for a local, sustainable and just model of farming where farmers and local communities have the power to decide what is grown and how.

No more stupid excuses!
