This report summarises some of the main problems witnessed with tar sands extraction in Canada and presents evidence about the impacts of tar sands extraction on local peoples’ health, land rights and livelihoods, as well as on the environment. It documents which UK banks are involved in providing financial backing for tar sands, how much money they are providing, and to which oil companies.
