Around 10,000 people have attended a music festival in Prague in support of the Big Ask campaign.
The main message of the festival was that a climate change law would bring benefits for Czech people, the economy and the climate.
People packed Kampa island in the centre of Prague, attracted by great musicians, theatre, a farmer’s market and green technology demonstrations. The leader of the Social Democratic and Green parties were among the guests.
The Czech Big Ask campaign now has the support of two out of the four governing coalition parties, as well as the Social Democrats, the main opposition party. One of the building sector associations is also supportive, and there are a wide range of other supporters, including 60 green companies and 30 celebrities.
