Deadline: June 25, 2023
Background
Friends of the Earth Europe (FoEE) campaigns at the heart of Europe for sustainable and just societies and for the protection of the environment. We are the largest grassroots environmental network in Europe, uniting 32 national organisations with thousands of local groups as part of Friends of the Earth International. Our vision is of a peaceful and sustainable world, founded on social, economic, racial, gender and environmental justice and free from all forms of domination and exploitation.
Our Brussels office coordinates our network’s joint campaigns and pushes for action by the EU to protect people and the planet. The organisation has 30 members of staff who are based in Brussels. Together we campaign for Climate Justice, Economic Justice, Food Justice, Resource Justice and to maintain and increase biodiversity. More about our campaigns is available at https://friendsoftheearth.eu/what-we-do/
Background
FoE Europe campaigns to deliver policy or practice change at European institutions or by European corporations. We work with national member groups, allies and sometimes groups or allies outside of the European Union to deliver such campaigns. With this tender, we are seeking to ensure that FoEE staff have access to the best campaign planning practices for their work.
The task of the consultant
FoEE is seeking a consultant to provide an in-person training on campaign planning. Topics to cover should include:
- Setting campaign aims and objectives
- Campaign strategies and tactics
- Building alliances
The training should reference real life examples of campaigning for political change preferably, though not exclusively, examples in the field of climate and environmental campaigning, and campaign targets in the European Union institutions.
The training will take place in person in Brussels, Belgium. FoE Europe can provide the venue. We aim to have the training take place in July 2023 or early autumn if July is not feasible. The length of the training is envisioned to be approximately 1 day. The number of attendees is between 7 and 12, all FoEE staff.
To bid for this tender, please provide:
- your offer detailing a proposal for the training methodology and delivery;
- your relevant experience;
- any other experience you deem relevant to support your offer;
- your financial offer including hourly and daily rates;
Please send this by email to: colin.roche@foeeurope by 25 June 2023, 23.59h CET.
We will notify you about the outcome of the tender process and may invite you for an online interview during June.
