At the end of May the community power coalition wrote to Vice President Timmermans and Commissioner Simson to ask them to make Community energy central the EU’s recovery efforts. The letter calls on the recipients to implement an economic recovery that ensures our society and our local communities are more resilient and fairer in the long term. Locally owned renewble energy development should be central to this.
The Community Power Coalition is a coalition of organisations across Europe working together to increase peoples’ ownership of renewable energy.
