A short film made by Friends of the Earth in Belgium, with the help of award winning film director Nic Balthazar, is helping spread the message that politicians must ‘Act Now’ against climate change.
More than 6,000 people took part in the recording of the Big Ask video clip at Ostend on the Belgian coast. It was the largest ever event against climate change in Belgium.
Viewers are encouraged to send the clip to politicians in their own country, and friends, family, and colleagues.
The film clip was made possible due to the engagement of volunteers from Friends of the Earth, and many film industry professionals who gave their time for free. Music was supplied by Hooverphonic.
Friends of the Earth groups are running the Big Ask campaign in 18 European countries, calling for governments to commit to annual cuts in climate changing emissions.
